normal Polyethylene core Aluminum Composite Panel
What is LDPE?
- Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is usually a polymer obtained by polymerization of ethylene with monomer at a high pressure of 98.0--294 MPa and oxygen or an organic peroxide as an initiator. Density is 0. 910~0. 9259/cm3. The density of medium density polyethylene (MDPE) is 0.926~0.9409/cm3; The density of very low density polyethylene (VLDPE) is less than 0.910g/cm3.
These structures made optimal use of ACP through its cost, durability, and efficiency. Its flexibility, low weight, and easy forming and processing allow for innovative design with increased rigidity and durability. Where the core material is flammable, the usage must be considered. The standard ACP core is polyethylene (PE) or polyurethane (PU). These materials do not have good fire-resistant (FR) properties unless specially treated and are therefore not generally suitable as a building material for dwellings; several jurisdictions have banned their use completely.Arconic, owner of the Reynobond brand, cautions the prospective buyer. Concerning the core, it says that distance of the panel from the ground is a determinant of "which materials are safer to use". In a brochure it has a graphic of a building in flames, with the caption "as soon as the building is higher than the firefighters’ ladders, it has to be conceived with an incombustible material". It shows that the Crowbond polyethylene product is for up to circa 10 meters; the fire-retardant product (c. 70% mineral core) from there to up to c. 30 meters, the height of the ladder; and the European A2-rated product (c. 90% mineral core) for anything above that. In this brochure, Fire Safety in High-rise Buildings: Our Fire Solutions, product specification is only given for the last two products.
Description
Performance
Low-density polyethylene chains have long and short branches. Crystallinity is relatively low, the molecular weight is generally 50,000 to 500,000, it is a milky white translucent waxy solid resin, non-toxic. Low softening point, melting beyond the softening point, good thermal fusion, molding processability, good softness, good impact toughness, low temperature resistance, can be working at -60°C~-80°C, electrically insulating Excellent (especially high-frequency insulation), LDPE mechanical strength is poor, heat resistance is not high, environmental stress crack resistance, adhesion, adhesion, poor printability, subject to surface treatment, such as chemical erosion, Corona and other treatments can improve its adhesiveness and printability.
It also has low water absorption, almost no water absorption, and excellent chemical stability, such as being stable to acids, alkalis, salts, and organic solvents. For CO2, the organic odor has high permeability but poor permeability to water vapor and air.
It is flammable, burning like wax paraffin; under the influence of sunlight and heat, it is easily aged, degraded and discolored, changing from white to yellow to brown, and finally black, and the performance is reduced or cracked. If a certain amount of antioxidant is added, ultraviolet light is added. Absorbents and the like can improve the properties, cross-link under chemical crosslinking agent or high-energy irradiation, and can improve softening point, temperature resistance, rigidity, solvent resistance, and the like.

Application
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is suitable for various molding processes of thermoplastic molding processing. Good molding processability, such as injection molding, extrusion molding, blow molding, rotational molding, coating, foaming process, thermoforming, hot air welding, heat welding, etc.
The main uses of LDPE as following:
1. Film products, such as agricultural film, ground cover film, agricultural film, vegetable greenhouse film, etc.
2. Packaging films such as candy, vegetables, frozen foods and other packaging.
3. Blown film for liquid packaging (milk, soy sauce, juice, tofu, soy milk).
4. Heavy Bag, Shrink Packaging Film, Elastic Film, Lining Film.
5. Films for construction, general industrial packaging films, food bags, etc.
LDPE is also used to:
1. Injection-molded articles, such as small containers, lids, household products, plastic flowers, injection-stretch-blow-molded containers.
2. Medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food packaging materials, extruded tubes, plates, wire and cable coatings, profiles, thermoforming and other products.
3. Blow-molded hollow molded products, such as food containers containing dairy products and jams, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemical product containers, tanks, etc.
LDPE Application
1. For production of film, technical items for pipes, fittings, and packing means.
2. For extrusion packaging film, rope, woven bags, fishing nets, water pipes; injection of low-end commodity and housing, non-bearing load components, plastic box, turnover box.
3. Extrusion blow molding containers, hollow products, bottles.
