The fluorocarbon coating is a PVDF resin and mainly refers to a coating of vinylidene fluoride homo-polymer or a co-polymer of vinylidene fluoride and other small amounts of fluorine-containing vinyl monomers. The chemical structure of the hydrofluoric acid base is bonded with a fluorocarbon bond. This chemical structure is stable and strong so that the physical properties of fluorocarbon coatings are different from those of common coatings. In addition to its abrasion resistance in terms of mechanical properties, impact resistance has excellent properties, especially in harsh climates and environments, showing long-lasting fade resistance and UV resistance. After the high-temperature grill film is formed, the molecular structure of the coating is tight, and it has super weather resistance. Fluorocarbon coating can be divided into two kinds of traditional fluorocarbon and NANO fluorocarbon coating according to the surface film forming structure.
It is especially suitable for the decoration and display of indoor, outdoor decoration, commercial chain, exhibition advertisement, etc. in public places.


History of PVDF Coating

In 1965, Pennwalt Chemical Co., USA first applied fluorocarbon coatings to meet the coating of interior and exterior aluminum in high-end buildings. The selection of a wide range of colors, the solemn appearance of the United States, and durability have added brilliance to many magnificent curtain wall structures around the world. The coating manufacture’s began to make the products guarantee is 10 years, 15 years and even more than 20 years. U.S. research institutes have compared and tested fluorocarbon coatings, super paints, and general paints. Samples were separately coated in hot sun in Florida, USA, and exposed to the harsh environment of moist salty air. In 2011, it was proved that the stability and durability of fluorocarbon coatings were 30 and 80 percentage points higher than those of the other two coatings. Fluorocarbon coatings ensured their use in various harsh environments.
